LESSON 8

Playground Chalk Drawing
(3rd annual)

Being Connected to Everything

If you could give kids anything, what would you give them? Not a material thing but a life skill or value or philosophy.
I would give them a sense of being connected to everything.

Story time:
Once upon a time there was a boy who was not connected to anything. One day he went for a walk and a bird flew into him and he grew feathers. The boy then stepped on a snake and grew scales, they got hit by lightning, then tripped over a mountain, and in the end.... the boy was connected to everything.

I told the story to everyone at Franklin and picked Charley's drawing, 2nd grade. We used this drawing for our playground chalk drawing.
